As the title says my GB x79 board doesnt actually show a post screen when booting up.I can get it to show the gigabyte logo page from the bios but when i disable it i never actually see a post screen although randomly i see the "american megatrends" logo but no more info than that.Pc works superbly (this is a recent build,my i7 920 mobo melted itself so forced an upgrade :( ).Overclocks really well with my 3930k to 4.5 Ghz at 1.308 volts temps around 65-69 in this mad hot weather (room temp 27 degs),but not having a post screen is bugging me a bit :)

It also makes it a bit tricky for timing the button press to get into the bios, luckily my G19 keyboard lights up at around the time i need to press but i sometimes miss :D.Oh i`ve also tried flashing the bios, board came with version F2 which didnt show the post so ive tried the beta bios F3p and still no joy.

Anyone else come across this?

I don't think it shows one tbh

just spam the delete key from pressing the on button,i have the gigabyte splash screen enabled on my z77 and even then it whizzes by so fast

cant remember what it displays if I disable it but think it just shoots through to windows loading page

Yeah the spam trick is usually what i do :) ,but getting into the bios isnt really the issue its more to do with not seeing a post screen most times but then sometimes what looks like part of a post screen being displayed for 3 or 4 seconds with just the american megatrends logo showing.

In the 20 odd years i`ve been building and using pc`s everyone has had a post screen, this is the first ive had that doesnt seem to wont to show one :( ,i miss the reassurance of seeing my memory and cpu speed and drive`s attached showing :)

are there any time out settings for the logo in the bios? I think you can set it from 0 to 10 seconds somewhere

that might have something to do with it
