Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro 8+8 pin CPU Connector

Is it necessary to use both 8 pin connectors, or is one sufficient? Does load matter in the same way as PSU wattage?

I was informed in this forum that if your PSU has the 2 cables then use them and if not just use 1 I have an Asus x870

1 is likely to be sufficient to boot the board, but if you have both, I'd just plug them in.
