Well have been trying and failing with trying to get a windows 10 install done onto a Samsung xp941 m.2 ssd and no matter what settings I try it will not find the drive on the install screen.
I am sure it is something simple that I have overlooked but if anyone else has done this can you shed some light on the settings you have used.
I have updated the BIOS to F20 and tried enabling/disabling csm support. Setting the various boot modes into either legacy or uefi support only (No matter what option I seem to pick from the various drop downs no option ever seems to appear for m.2 support in the drive set up) . I am more annoyed that the gigabyte documentation doesn't seem to show this as a possible set up route and just assumes it will work.
As I said I am sure I missing something obvious. I have tried setting my boot usb stick (created using rufus) to both MBR with uefi support and GPT but avast it makes no difference. I have even tried loading the pre-install drivers for the chipset onto the stick and loading those up but these don't seem to work either.
So any ideas?
If this is better in the storage forum then feel free to move it mister/miss moderator.
