Gigabyte z170x gaming 5 audio static

Hi

My gigabyte z170x gaming 5 has started making really bad static noise through my speakers. I've only had the board a couple of weeks and suddenly it's making really bad static, it actually sounds like a mistuned analogue radio. I've tried different speakers and the static is still there so it's definitely the motherboard.

Has anyone had this? or know a fix for this? I've tried at the gigabyte forums and no reply from gigabyte.

Re install drivers. Its a latentcy issue

Hi

I've done that. I already had the latest realtec drivers and creative drivers but reinstalled them anyways, still got loads of static. The board is still within 30 days return so I might save myself the hassle and replace it with an ASUS. Other than this issue the gigabyte is a great board.

I had a static issue too with a gigabyte board and pinpointed it to a hatdware prob it could be interference from the graphics card or a faulty capacitor (more likely).
Yes I agree that you should try and return it.
