I just got new DDR4 motherboard, a Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI. When I plug my monitor into the internal graphics hdmi all is well and I can get into the bios and everything looks fine. When I plug my gtx 970 into the top PCIe 16X slot and plug my hdmi into the card I get no video output. The weird thing is my 970 does work and I get an output on the second 8X PCIe slot. Is the top PCIe slot dead? I have even tried selecting the first slot as the main one in the bios settings.
