Fancy a new cheapish system on a H61 but think you may want a few extra features and a bit of an OC? How about looking at the Z68AP-D3 fro Gigabyte instead :D

Cant help but wonder what Gigabyte are making on these if anything :D

It certainly is a fair drop! Good board to be honest, just looks a little dated now thats the thing. If you want to build a nice PC on the cheap you can really go wrong with this as the base :)

Problem with Gigabyte is that the warranty starts from the manufacture date and not the purchase date so it's possible you may end up with a Gigabyte board with little or no warranty.

Your very miss informed.

Warranty is 3 years or 2 years (depending on SKU) from date of purchase from us as its new until that point.

Read this.

Warranty Effective On Date of Manufacture

GIGABYTE determines warranty based on the manufacture date. The manufacture date can be verified by the serial number found on the product. The first four digits after "SN" determine the year and week of manufacturing date. For example:

"4719331822101 SN082540084966" represents the 25th week of 2008

The problem with that in the EU and the UK is that the stock could sit for 2 years and 11 months of its life in the hub in the netherlands. Why should a customer only then get 1 month warranty as a result of this??

Warranty is from date of receipt in the UK and EU as per trading law :)
