Just tried to build everything for the first time last night and yeh, it ain't even booting. Doesn't spin up or even stutter. Read about cold booting and cycling issues but this just seems like a dead board.

Things I've tried

1. Checking that both power cables are connected
2. Checking the PSU
3. Removing all unnecessary components
4. Reasonably testing all other components

I think it's gonna be an RMA job (probably just full refund now that I know how dodgy these boards can be) but does anyone have any bits of advice or tricks that I've stupidly overlooked?

The thought of having to re-seat the CPU cooler.... *sigh*

Thanks

Tested out of case.
Tested different kettle leads.
Power is, alas, on at the switch.

Other parts (all new):

i5 2500 3.3Ghz
Asus GTX 560Ti
8 Gb Kingston
Gelid Cooler
Antec Earthwatt 750W
64Gb SSD
Other HDDs

Yeh tried shorting it in and out of case.

Now admittedly I didnt clear the CMOS, which I guess is an oversight, but has a motherboard ever not powered up AT ALL because of such a thing?

Hope so... :p

Yeh when I get home I'll try mucking about with the CMOS. Tis my final strand of hope that I'm clinging to like a koala in a hurricane.

Assuming it needs replaced and now that I'm more aware of OTHER powered issues that the board seems to have... is there a good replacement?
