Gigabyte Z77-D3H Error Code (beeps)

3570k
Powercolor 7850 2gb
be quiet 600w

Its the ram that seems to be the problem as whenever I put in one of the sticks the internal buzzer just keeps on repeated beeping.

with two sticks it should be installed into the white slots only, can try leaving motherboard battery out for 30mins is that memory on gigabytes qvl list?

I tried clearing the cmos last night and it didn't help.

I don't think its on the qvl list but I was lead to believe that most ram should work?

Hi mate see my post just below yours - I have the same error however it works fine with just 1 stick (1x8gb corsair vengenece from a pair of them) the 2nd doesnt work as of the other morning for no reason....

has yours been like this since you bought it or did it start a few weeks after that?

it depends, but its best to play safe and choose whats on qvl list, you havnt mentioned what brand/model of ram? also try the other stick if you havnt already one stick at a time i mean

I don't think I could meantion the brand name as its only stocked by a competitor (although its not horrible value stuff)

Yeah I've tried one stick at a time and the problem only occurs with one stick, going to see about RMA'ing it now I think.

i would rma it,no point shoving cheapo brand memory in a quality mb, corsair vengeance will work or the vengeance lp (low profile) if you have a large cpu cooler

You say that wazza but my problems with quality ram... I think gigabyte seem to have a lot of power / ram errors whilst looking around :(

yeah thats true, but atleast you know where you stand with memory thats supported and tested to work, then its down to the user to fine tweak voltages and settings

the ops ram might work with latest mb bios but to update it youd need some working memory, latest bios's have improved support for the samsung green memory which was long overdue imo

if it works with your dads memory you can try flashing bios to the latest one and try your cheapo memory,it might work/be supported better?

yeah my errors slightly different as it doesnt seem to like 2 sticks but its driving me mad as I dont know why it'd start doing this after 3 weeks hassle free use

I managed to update to the latest bios with the good stick in and it still didn't work.

test each stick one at a time in the board, just one stick in either of the white slots just to confirm non are dead, then try enabling xmp if it supports it or upping the dram voltage to 1.6v or whatever its rated at and raise the cpu vtt one or two clicks
