Hi,
I want to buy the Gigabyte Z77N-WIFI motherboard. There are two fan headers, one for the CPU and 1 nr sys_fan. Obviously, the CPU fan will be plugged into the former. However, I want to use two Bitfenix Spectre Pro PWM fans (1 nr 120mm exhaust / 1 nr 140mm intake) and plug them into this Y-splitter (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-071-AK), which would then plug into the sys_fan header. I hope this will allow fans to be automatically controlled.
I've read lots of people use this splitter but I've also heard that I may fry my motherboard? I don't know how many volts the header can handle nor how much these fans require... Should I go ahead and split them? It looks like it would be fine to me...
Cheers all =)
