I am looking to purchase a Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H motherboard today and would like to know if the memory modules CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 1.65V VER2.3 will work ok.

I have checked the Memory support list on the Gigabyte website but it does not show the memory.

Is there any other boards I should be looking at for the same price range?

Thanks

You will never find every memory tested and approved by board manufacturers, they would be there testing forever to try every memory kit on the market.

Luckily you have a reputable brand and it will work fine.

I am using a cheaper variation of that board the Z77 D3H with my 3570k and it has been excellent. Check it out at the Gigabyte site for its specs. I paid just less than £80 for it and it works a treat with not many extra bells and whistles that I would not need nor use.

As I see that socket 1155 is at the end of its life, in terms of furture CPU development, I did not want to spend that much on a board where CPU's like IB are more limited, it seems, to heat in terms of overclocking than the vrm's etc of the motherboard.

As for memory I am using 2 x Corsair LP 4GB DDR3 12800 sticks and 2 x OCZ 2GB DDR 3 12800 sticks all at 1.36v to give 12GB @ 9.9.9.24 timings and they run fine. I don't think either of them are on that list but they work together without issue.
