Surprised there is not more chat around GigaClear here!

I'm moving house soon and my only option for a symmetrical connection is GigaClear. Little disappointed in their website as it seems impossible get indication of the more technical issues. It seems it will be CGNAT by default, can't see a Static option nor can I see anything about using my own router. I want to use my Cloud Gateway Fibre for instance.

They do mention a few resellers on the website but none of the major players I am familiar with. I would obviously consider one of those if they made life easier WRT static IP/bring your own router.

I also assume if they went bust again someone would buy them out? Would anyone care to guess the download associated with such an event?

There is plenty of threads about them, the main thread is here:

Aquiss can provide you service over Gigaclear.

As to the if they go bust question, IMO it's not worth worrying and trying to prepare for that eventuality. If your connection is important then have plans for resilience that you can deploy when needed, whether the event that started it was a car bringing a pole down, a storm, or the company going bankrupt.

Didn't have the best experience with them personally - initially lots of enthusiasm and dealt with some fairly knowledgeable people but then lots of stringing us along and broken promises then they lost interest after spending 10s of thousands to get within 30 metres of the house with radio silence for IIRC 3-4 months before eventually saying the last bit would cost too much. We went with Wessex in the end who to be honest weren't much better for delays and stringing us along but did eventually deliver and do far the service itself has been good.
