Right, i have a piece of video that is 15 mins long, 28mb in size. I need to greyscale it, decrease the brightness and up the contrast to make something viewable.

I've done the alterations without a problem, however, when i try and save the new avi file it dumps out at around 3.5gig. Which is quite big for a 15 minute file.

Only used Vdub for joining avi files before now, so i'm totally at a loss.

Help!

Bingo, cheers

Found ffdshow in a menu and the file size dropped down to 40mb, i can live with that.

Now i can give the rozzers the footage of the vandalism on the wifes car

It's a scabby video anyway, tied in to the cheapo camera the pub next door has and i couldn't even see it happening until i tweaked the colours.
Doesn't help that they haven't cleaned the camera in a couple of months either :(
