short answer: makes no difference
long answer: can make a small difference in some cases when running under high oc's in poorly ventilated systems.
- ram dont make much heat, dont care so much about being hot and usually has a decent draught from the cpu cooler.
case in point: a lot of those on xs benching ram actually remove all the heatspreaders run them bare and strap a fan onto the bare stick.
RAM heatsinks are overall fairly pointless... They do only cost a couple of quid though which may be worth it if your into modding your PC and basically puting a lot of effort into making it look good.
So... Pointless, but can look cool (though not always...)
Though they might not make any noticeable difference to the temperature, I still prefer them as I'm less worried about how I handle the RAM if the chips are all covered up. Silly of me I know,

Guess I missed that, but if you do tend to fiddle about inside your case a lot then a £2-3 RAM heatsink may be a good idea to protect it if anything else.
Though TBH you should still handle your RAM from the edges
