Great picture, but shame its a composite. It actually looks like its a picture taken when nothing is going on, with the 100m race then put ontop. None of the camera are even in the right places or pointing at the runners.

So it could well be a single image, just not one taken as the 100m final was being run

It must be a panaoramic of sorts, as the times and results are already up on the board at the rear of the stadium, despite the fact that Bolt is only just crossing the line and the BBC team actually sitting down during a race.

If we take all your videos and triangulate the view from all of them, we can extrapolate a basic position for you

Then we just look for the smart looking guy with the chelsea top on and waving his phone about

What they do is stick a camera(s) on a robotic arm which then takes 100s/1000s of pictures. These are then stitched together using specialised software on a workstation and you get the panorama.
