Hello all

http://uk.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=4&subcategory=28&product=16936

Just purchased these speakers for my notebook and the Right speaker sounds faulty, NO BASS.
All connections are right. Does anyone else have these speakers and have they had problems, the reason im asking is because on the Creative labs webby forum a few guys are having the same problem.
They will be shipped back shortly if i dont find an answer!

Well I have the T20 speakers and if the right speaker seems to have no bass then I guess RMA it. I get adequate amount of bass with mine from both speakers. Have you tried other sources?

I have T40's, after three sets of faulty Logitech Z10's... and I have had this problem too, but it seems to have disappeared now, luckily... not much help, but a glimmer of useless hope :)

I have tried it on 2 diff computers, and my xbox360, all the same results. I currently have them on my laptop via an soundblaster X FI xtreme audio Card.

Couple of points lads

How do i detect wether its driver related?
and Russ, if you had the same problem how did you sort it?
do you have bass from both speakers?

One speaker actually sounds really shi* hot and the other just ****!! A really tinny sound.

i will call creative tomorrow, as ive noticed lots of the same probs from different forums.

Cheers for help

all back to mine for beers :D

If it happens with all sources then it's not a driver problem.

sorry to bump up an oldish thread..

but i was just reading reviews on the T40 and apparently the connectors on the right speaker to one of the cones can be loose. take the front of the speaker off and you can reconnect it. APPARENTLY.

You are correct sir, not had this problem, however seems to be a fair number who have, the spade connections are a bit flimsy inside and have been coming loose in delivery transit etc - or so i was told. :)
