Gigayte QFlash

Is this so you can use the USB port for something else?

If so, it should just work as normal.

Only when you use the QFlash utility do you have to use the dedicated USB port.

The reason that I woild like to disable it is I have used Q Flash twice both times the button stayed depressed ie below the surrounding surfsce resulting in an uncomplted Post. Post sequence would start be would only to stop at the VGA test therefor disable it to avoid the chance of iy happening again.

Don't think you can disable the button, but it sounds like the IO shield/back plate is misaligned.

If you have got the PC up and running, just do future updates through bios.

I would probably RMA the board though.

Hi Freddie64 Many thanks for your responss. I RMA'd the boards concerned successfully I was just trying to find a work around. My concern is that the button may be accidently pressed in the futurs which may mean an RMA on a fully assembled system, inconvient to say the least As. you suggest my next BIOS updaste will be through USB..
