Got an Induro GHBA gimbal wotsit to use with ball head. Similar to Wimberley Sidekick but £70 cheaper.

If, like me, you've never tried a gimbal head and generally found tripods a pain, try one.

Pleasure to use. Smooth tracking is easy and camera/lens weight just disappears.

Interesting thanks. I have a Wimberley Gimbal which was ideal for heavy Canon stuff but now I've gone to m4/3 it's overkill.
That Induro looks good.

Took it for a longer test yesterday. Can't fault it.

Good match using the Sigma 150-600 C with the lens about an inch off centre over the ball head.

Only limiting factor was the panning from Sirui K40x. The damping is a tad excessive.
