We've had a bit of progress since I last posted. After a bit of faffing with the 732 we decided that it wasn't really worth messing about with anymore (broken rocker which on these engines is an almighty pain in the bum to fix, not to mention the fact its been machining bits off its camshaft for a while!)
In the vague search for a new head for the 732 we were offered this...for less!
Thats right!!!! After buying a mid eighties 7 series and being forced to scrap it we went right ahead and bought a mid eighties 7 series! On the plus side this car is actually good although only a 728 this time! We'd managed to get a BMW garage to sponsor us with stuff so after a bit of free servicing and a bit of frabication using whatever I had lying around. We have this!!!
The mighty ginbulance!!! Note how the 732 lives on in the roof rack! The stickers are arriving today hopefully, although I don't know when we are fitting them. They can only serve to make this car look even more absurd. The looks you get when you are driving round in this monstrosity with no charity stickers mostly consist of pity.
We've already raised about £1000 for Cardiac Risk in the Young in memory of my best mate who passed away last year so its been worthwhile already.
