I am considering persuading a Friend of mine to DL Steam with a view to buying her a Game (or two) for Christmas.
She is an absolute classic Girl when it comes to games. Hasn't bought anything recently (At least ten years) and what she has are the typical Tetris/Maj-jong type games (What I have always called "Tidying up Games"
).
She is not into violence (Though quite likes Horror/Scary) and her current PC, while recent (Purchased from OCUK last year on my suggestion) and reasonably CPU capable (i5 IIRC) only has a basic graphics card.
I am looking for sugestions at to what sort of Games there might be out there that she might enjoy.
I am thinking not just modern equivalents of her existing games, but also possibly non-graphics intensive mystery/problem solving games. As I said earlier. real-time Combat will not be to her taste (Not sure about Turn based combat, might be OK) but spooky/scary would be fine (even desirable)
There are vastly more games out there than there were even 5 years ago, especially in the indy market, with some being good and some being dire It is not an area I have looked at before so would be grateful for any suggestions.
