Giro d'Italia

Whoosh.... stood in the rain for an hour an a half yesterday and then they're gone in an instant. Worth it nonetheless as it's quite a spectacle!

Lot of controversy over yesterday's stage. Apparently the descent from stelvio was supposed to be neutralised on account of it being super dangerous, but garmin, europcar and Movistar "didn't get the message" and went ahead. Saxo Tinkoff are whining about it in particular.

I don't think anybody really paid attention to it though. Cataldo from Sky didn't and to be fair, the descent was nowhere near as bad as going up the climb in the first place. I could imagine a few may have complained though.

I got some nice shots of this as it went past a village near me.

I think it was Sean kelly who during commentary said something along the lines of "The worst thing about spectators running in front of you is when you're absolutely exhausted and giving it everything you've got, then to see a spectator running faster than you can cycle is crushing"

Enjoyed the Giro, but I don't half struggle with Eurosport! I don't have enough hours in the day to watch the live footage and every time I set my TiVo to record highlights it turns out to be tennis or something! I hear it's no better on Eurosports player either :(
