Hi everyone

Following on from my last post about winter boots and cleats, I was wondering whether anyone had any thoughts around the above shoes? The issue I have is that while a lot of my commute is on protected facilities I do have some key intersections on steep hills that scare me with poor driving behaviour. Having a pedal that is flat for shoes on one side and SPD cleats on the other would allow me to ride without fear of coming off when I need to, however to achieve that I need a shoe that has a recessed cleat so it doesn't interact with the flat pedal side... so on to the point of this, has anyone got a pair of these or know how far the clear is recessed?

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks Bear. My current Shimano shoes are slightly recessed but not enough that I'm not on the cleat and they currently don't work well with my flats on one of my bikes. The Giro's do look flush but pictures are hard to evaluate!
