So I back on the path to building a new pc, thought i give the new A8 a go instead of intel cpu, so i came up with this list, minus a cooler as im still looking in to that but just looking for the once over to see if i missed anything :)

Whats this to be used for?

Seems a strange mix of bits, especially when you say you want to add a GPU, which negates the point of buying Llano.
 
its just a general machine, as i said i was looking in to the GFX , it will be used as a web machine and a gaming machine, but not for media as i have 3 htpc already :) so its a "i got spare cash burning a hole in my pocket" build.

I would only add a graphics card if it shows it will make a good deal of difference, i seen the llano/crysis 2 vid so it might not even be added.
 
Well you dont need to spend nearly £68 on case fans.

And the RAM, whats going on there? just get a 8GB kit for £50

Dont need the sound card either.

If you could consider a cheaper but still decent case then you can even fit a more powerful GPU init.
 
That motherboard has got even cheaper, I thought it was around £79 range.

But, a much better spec :)

I can go intel if its benefical just thought i give the AMD route another try, i would most probably take the second list and still get the 650D anyway, the money for the build is a disposiable (sp?) income. I wouldnt go any more than £1000 as its going to be a pc that might not be used daily
 
To add a touch more future proofing you could put a sli/crossfire 8X/8X motherboard in to the mix such as a MSI GD53.

So if you want to add a second card then they both get the same bandwidth.
 
Yeah, just leaves the option open, if you only have interest in running a single card then just stick with the bargain ASUS.
