• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Give me some idea what top notch graphics look like...

In terms of graphics obviously.

Making a game that involved that amount of detail and graphics (at present) would take years.

Thats a good point, the DX10 games with all their huge amounts of changes are not gona appear over night as well, they are going to take time, which will mean loads of cards been and gone. :)

Please remember that these images are being rendered at 50fps+ so they could probably squeeze even more quality out of them if they wanted, and pictures don't really do the thing justice tbh.

what demo is that and will it work on a nvidia card?

No idea, but ATI demos used to work on my 7800GTX.

Worth a try. You can download it from the Developers section on ATI's website. It is actually designed for the X1800, which is quite old now!

God only knows what they could do with the X1900XTX. As a matter of fact, there's a space screen saver for the X1900 series which is awesome.

A little photoshop here.. and a little photoshop there.. and Voila! GTA4 screenshots :D The internet will erupt.

Heh someone on a GTA forum I mod created a fake screen using some kind of tech video like that, ended up on a couple of high profile gamer blogs :p so.. DO IT!

As for DX10, I'm just not sure, right now my 6600GT seems to be pretty content playing most games I want it to. If I can get it to last till around christmas time I might be able to pick up a 7900GTX or something as I'm sure prices will drop.
