Giveawayoftheday - Game Booster Premium for free

Bad idea to use this if its the same thing I remember from a few years back. It basically just alters priority states from background tasks (essential ones I might add) to the program your trying to run in aid to try and gain a few FPS. It does work in some situations, but can be abit risky.
 
No thats something else James. This one closes the printer spool driver and that kind of thing while you are in a game.

Terrible if you print and game at the same time and not needed if you run 5ghz 6 core with 12gig of memory

Useful for anyone finds they use the pagefile while gaming and it slows them down at all. Can be done manually but it unloads things like ipod service, when you finish gaming it puts it all back

Generally I'd say dont bother if you are the type to overspec everything, but it could make a large difference to anyone with an old machine

You can go ahead and keep the services stopped/disabled manually which some people, including myself, do anyway.

Server is a good place to start from a security point of view :p
 
I use this on an old machine and it does helps. Of course how much someone benefits depends on a lots of factors, but its an nice easy way to squeeze a little more juice out of non state-of-the art PCs....
 
Similar thing is listed again. This one is more of a one off speed up of old files and disabling services you never use like smart card checking
