Good Evening all,

Firstly, apologies in advance if this is posted in the wrong place and also for any "Noob" like questions i may ask or might say lol

My friend has kindly given me his gaming pc as he no longer wants it (lucky i know)
Im trying to brush up on my knowledge of all the gubbins inside, i have a basic understanding but i lack in knowing just how good my machine is (or not if thats the case lol).

I like all sorts of genres but my current favorites are planet coaster and planet zoo , growing up playing games such as theme park , theme hospital , roller coaster tycoon zoo tycoon etc its great to be able to play these 2 games with such amazing quality and depth!

With that said i do enjoy my rpgs, shooters and the occasional rage game of fifa.

Main thing im uncertain of is just how decent my specs are and what i need to do to get all games running smoothly and looking incredible.

ill post my specs below and any help or advice from anyone would be massively appreciated.

INTEL CORE I5 7400 CPU @3.00GHZ

8GB RAM

1TB HDD

GEFORCE GTX 1060 6GB

For something that's been given to you it's a decent spec tbh... The CPU is only quad core and some games will use 100% of that but it will still do a nice job for the games you've mentioned, The 1060 6gb is still a decent GPU with plenty of power for gaming...

What monitor will you be using? If its 1080p you'll have no problems

Well I'm sure the PC will adjust resolution settings if it needs to..

It wouldn't cost to much tbh... I'd consider upgraded the CPU first though, more cores will help performance.
