There are three things which are annoying, and one of them is too irritating.

1) When clicking on 'go to first new post', quite often i.e. 50% of the time it just hangs and does nothing. I know that it loads jpegs etc first which is okay (takes a bit of getting used to) but it doesn't always load the page.

2) Pop ups quite often load underneath the menu bar.

3) Certain webpages don't load correctly.

So now i'm using Google Chrome. There are certain things in Opera that I really like, such as speed dial, lock tabs and some great skins.

However, I also think Chrome is good. You can set your tabs for when it loads (rather than last used tabs) and so far it seems pretty quick.

3) This often has to do with what plugins are installed, and I'm constantly finding it's Opera's downfall.

There are some sites that I just can't use with it and have to use the right click > "open with : I.E. 7" function. For example ITV's football page, Arsenal TV's video page and even the TimesOnline website won't load propery or look a mess. (This is with the latest version of Flash, WMP, Real Player Alt/Lite, QuickTime Alt/Lite all installed and upto date).

Even after that though, I find it much snappier than I.E. 7. It does tend to die when using around 1GB of RAM (35+ tabs) which is odd on a 4GB system with plenty to spare according to my memory meters.

The other annoyance that I forgot about is that when you initially load Opera, for some strange reason it opens seemingly random threads rather than the page you left it on.

The only problem I've been having with opera 9.60 is that it doesn't seem to load images from php sig rotations.
