Giving a good performance...

Did some open mic last night and I must say that it went well, I was better than I have been before... gave the best performance I have so far.

I think I might try a few more and then see if I can start getting featured spots.

So it made me wonder, what do you guys consider makes a good performance?

How do you convey passion on stage? Give the mic a tongue sandwich?

Enjoy what you are doing rather than look for approval from others.

So basically CBS, you walk on a stage and look as though you live there and belong there. You look the audience in the eye and most importantly you look as though you're enjoying it.

Hmmm. Eye contact eh? I have a habit of looking at the mic, almost as a form of concentration most of the time.
