Hi there,

Got my new mobo, RAM & Ultra 120 today & want to try and get past my limit of 3.1ghz tonight:D

Got:

E6600 currently @ 3ghz, 1.325v in Bios, 1.29v in CPUz
4GB OCZ Vista Gold @ 750mhz 5-5-5-15 @ 2v
Asus P5K Pro @ 375FSB

The new cooler has brought temps down by... loads! Used to sit at 65-67c at exactly the same O/C with a ACF7 and is now 51-53c without the AS5 settled yet:D

Temps are from Coretemp while running Blend on Orthos.

Basicly just looking for anyone's help to tell me what settings I should be going for... Im hoping to reach 450x8 to get 3.6ghz and 900mhz on the RAM with timings of 5-5-5-18/21...

Do you reckon it will make it?

K, so I don't think my CPU can make 3.6ghz.

Currently at 3.56GHZ using a 445x8 with relaxed timings on the RAM and it won't even do a second on orthos.

Voltage is @ 1.5250 in the bios with 1.5v in windows. Idle temps are now @ 48c & can't test stressed...

Going to try SuperPI and see what happens but I think I will start winding the OC back till it is stable as im scared to be putting more than 1.5v through the chip.

EDIT: Ran two instances of SuperPI only doing 2M to get temps. It ran through fine and temps touched 66c. Might just up the voltages till 70c but if it's still not stable by then back off.

Backed it down to 3.3ghz and a vcore of 1.4v in windows and 1.45 in bios and Orthos has now been running for 10 mins.

Going to get to just over 3.4 I think and then stress test all night:D

Couldn't get 3.4ghz to work with a vcore of under 1.475 in the bios.

Temps at this were running into 70c and still wasn't Orthos stable for even 10 mins.

Backed it down to 3.36ghz with 1.408v under load in windows.

Now running Orthos:D

Got an hour & 7 mins through and it failed.

Although temps were below 70c I don't fancy whacking 1.45v through it constantly.

I have decided to back it off to around 3.3ghz and see how low I can get the vcore as I would prefer lower temps and vcore and lose 100mhz over silly vcore and temps.:D

I really need to get a Q6600 as these seem to get to 3.6 quite nicely:)

Does anyone know what kind of vcore I should be aiming for @ 3.3ghz?
