I have watched these two numerous times, i think they are fantastic, both multiple champions at all levels, if anyone hasn't seen it the video starts just as Johnny Brownlee begins to wobble, His brother Alistair helps him.

Just the guts and determination is remarkable, i wont give the result away, it's in the video, but it is a brilliant few minutes to watch along with the astonished commentators :)

I always liked the pair of them and thought they were really nice guys. They also came across as really down to earth in any interview I saw with either of them.

This was just a really great story which increased my already high levels of respect for them both.

Two top blokes and down to earth people, i think they deserve more recognition than they get.
There might be a thread on here in 20 years titled does anyone remember the Brownlee brothers and this brilliant video will be posted many times.

I'll be long dead or banned by then though :)

Media whores. All staged for the cameras....

Nah there is something likeable about these 2 and I have a lot of respect for people who put so much dedication into what they do. Also shows that sometimes winning isn't everything and the wellbeing of your competitors is more important.

Bet the guy that won felt a bit of a derp after what the brothers did.

Nothing like a bit of inadvertent thunder stealing :D

The way he was celebrating seemed a bit disrespectful to me. If he hadn't have helped his brother, the other Brownlee would still have won the race.

Saw this on the news last night.

He looked OK at that last bend, and then all of a sudden he was wobbling all over the place, so some great sportsmanship there.

Also don't know how true this is, but apparently the Spanish tried to appeal that Johnny getting help was breaching the rules. Although the decision was thrown out as mentioned above that he is able to have assistance. Shame really, there's no need to be that bitter about it.
