As above. :(

I've tried putting a value in for VLAN (101) but it just wont connect via DHCP.

My ONT box is from CityFibre, the Calix 801G GigaPoint v2.

Someone on the GLiNet forum suggests entering a PPPoE username and password from my ISP.

I've currently got some TalkTalk goon on webchat but he doesn't seem to know the difference between what I'm asking him for and the default wireless username and password....

Can anyone offer any pointers?

TalkTalk don't use PPPoE, they use DHCP. Well, they do on Openreach and I think they also do on CityFibre. Have you tried plain DHCP with no VLAN?

I think you've got VLAN 101 from Openreach when using your own FTTC modem, CityFibre won't be 101. Does the TalkTalk router connect and do the logs give you an idea of what the VLAN is?

I was interested in this and saw the OP got it answered on the gl.inet forums.

So I managed to set VLAN ID on WAN to .0 via Luci

Go here flint2ip/cgi-bin/luci/admin/network/network

Scroll down and Find WAN, check under the icon what the device name is for WAN, probably eth0, click edit and find the device drop down "eth0" click drop down and go to "custom" type the name of the interface, in this case eth0 followed by the Vlan id name. So for you it will be: eth0.0

Click save and then save / apply.

Let us know how that works.

Posted just in case anyone searches this forum for same issue.

tl;dr check what interface is marked for WAN and the VLAN ID must be set to "0" explicitly.
