Glass Roofs

I can't really see the point or enjoyment of them inc those extra long windscreens. Won't it turn the car into a bit of a greenhouse? :)

I'd be interested to see those pictures :)

Sorry the pics aren't great but you can see there isn't any real damage to the roof. From what I recall it was heavily scratched/marked but not cracked in anyway to the point i was dubious if it was even glass being used.

Also in the pics it doesnt look like a glass roof but it is. I think the glass is just darkened and the interior blind for it might be closed.

Here are the pics anyway sorry it's not too great.

I've always thought these large sunroofs were somewhat awesome. Got a sunroof in the Coupe (yeh it's an old T-Bar one) and I love it. Had it open today

The salesman seemed genuinely surprised that we wasn't impressed, I guess most people love them.

Although a couple of hours going round various showrooms browsing gave me a wealth of material for the salesmen BS thread :D

I love the we have never had a claim under warranty on a Vtec engine spin doctoring.

Thanks for those, not that my mrs will be rolling her car with a baby in the back (I hope) but thats a lot stronger than my brain keeps telling me they are :D

Not a problem.

I'm not overly impressed by all these glass roofs etc either. I just don't see the point but I must be missing something. When I used the Civic for a week I completely forgot it was even there but i've never been one for sun-roofs and the like :D

My friend has just bought a brand new Honda CRV which has the full length glass roof and I rather liked it (as do they). It was really rather nice bathing in the glow of the moon the other night.

It seems it's like a sunroof - some people love them (I love them), but others hate them (a friend bought a used RS6 with sunroof and didn't open it once in the year that he had it).

Marmite, horses for courses etc etc

My mum insists on having a sunroof, even though she barely uses it and complains when I open it

I'm glad I have one as my aircon doesn't work :p
Although given the choice, I'd take CC over a sunroof.

I personally like them.
Had a ride in a megane with one and it was like being outdoors, but less breezy, as it tends to be in Scotland.

I wanted leather so had to have the roof. Not a problem I dont think i paid a premium for the roof (just twice as much for the leather:D). The previous owner had blacked out the windows so its very dark inside opening the blinds and its nice and airy inside, and does make the car feel a bit bigger inside

Thanks for the pic's it looks like a fairly safe car by the looks of it.
