My dads bought a Sony HT75w 17" TV/ monitor
its for his room.
apparently hes found out that is none adjustable ro somehting and always shows a square picture ( shows two black linverticle bars on each side of the picture.)
after buysing the sony he fond that out and wants to take it back to the shop.
any suggestions on a different model ?

( dont know the jargon for any of this lol :P )

Rick

he reckons it has to be 1080i HD format or somehting... is that the 'new HD format' we all need in years to come ?

cheers, ill give the link to my dad to have a gnader, then laugh when h says ... 'whats a link ? ' :P
ive skimmed through it but seems to be more about vista and their DRM stuff... unless HDCP is the same as this new HD TV thats coming out soon ?

but just to confirm, its for a TV, not a computer. he hates computers and although id liove to 'borrow' the new screen its only going to be used as a TV :(

thanks anyway... makes for good reading :)

Thats exactly it, high definition comes with digital rights management as standard. There are 2 competing technologies the most memorably named one is blueray.

Remeber when windows xp came out and lots of users continued to use win 98? Thats probably what Ill be doing with win xp or I might try linux.
