Would any of you spectacle wearers out there know if Vision Express are partcularly expensive when it comes to their prices.
Reason being, after an eye test today I was undecided on a couple of pair of Oakley glasses so decided to wait until my wife was with me before I made my final choice.
The price Vision Express were quoting me was £120 for the frames, then I think it was £96 for standard lenses with anti-scratch and anti-glare coating. All in all £226.
Happened to browsing Oakley glasses when I came home and seen the same frames online for £93 and anti-scratch and anti-glare lenses for £30. This was from www.theinternetopticians.co.uk
Am I missing something with price difference in the lenses, I know I'm saving a good bit on the frames but I'm more concerned about the online lenses being rubbish or something at being a third of the price.
Apparently I don't need a huge correction (-0.50 right and -0.75 left) so I don't think the lenses were thinned etc..
Any advice on online opticians or price differences would be appreciated.
