Glastonbury 2011?

Yup! :D

I could be here all week if I listed everyone I wanted to see. Wu Tang Clan are a definite though, since I don't ever expect to get the chance to see them again anywhere.

Because it's organised by the kind of people who also put Chumbawumba, KT Tunstall and Barenaked Ladies on the same stage, and have BB King follow the Wu Tang Clan. :p

I'm going for the first time since 2002 and it should be a marked change from what I'm used to as I've been going to Reading the last few years! As for bands, I'm definitely not seeing Coldplay, Beyonce or U2 that's for sure :D

Will be going again this year. For the most part I've paid very little attention to the bands that are playing. The missus will drag me to see U2, and some of the special guests at the Park, in the hope that one of them is Pulp. Will probably watch QOTSA, though Suzanne Vega is on the acoustic stage at the same time, so that a bit of a wrench. Apart from that we'll just bimble around an see what catches our fancy.

Will definitely been watching Infinite Monkey Cage at the Caberet tent, and will undoubtely spend some time juggling around the stone circle.

Ocuk meet at the unit I'm working on? I'll give you all a free doughnut ? :D
I'm looking forward to Wu tang, beyonce, flux pavilion, hurts (amazing when I saw them before) and a few others

I'm going again this year, was messing about with the app on my phone building a schedule of things I wanted to see and came away a bit disappointed - a lot of big gaps during the daytime and a few evenings clashes as well.

Just hope the weather dries up a bit!

Just got that app, pretty handy but yeah, my planner seems kinda bear with a few late night clashes.
Just dropped my misses and some mates off to the guys we work for and they will be on site later on today, and i dont get down there till tuesday :(

Anyone else watching the coverage on BBC3?

I've gotta say, and I'm a big Biffy fan, Biffy Clyro sound awful. They've got a second guitarist and the whole sound mix just sounds like soup. It's grim. It'll be interesting to see what U2 are like later on on BBC (9:45pm).

i'm a fan too and i disagree totally. i thought they'd be poor but they're great and so's the session guitarist.

U2 should provide a stella live show

Meh. For me they weren't very tight, Simon's guitar sounded out of tune and his singing wasn't the strongest I've heard. Having a session guitarist doesn't mean you can stop hitting notes yourself either. IMO, and as a guitarist.

i concur. the session player should just be there to fill the sound and they can be guilty of making a live show sound a bit too robotic but he's only doing his job and i thought the performance was good entertainment. much better that some of the other rubbish bands they're showing. where's the flair gone these days? it's like it's cool to play like you don't really want to be there and only certain people can pull that off like bonehead and izzy stradlin
