A couple of shots from last weeks trip to Glentrool. Luckily the temperatures had dropped overnight and produced the mist which slowly lifted as the sun came into the glen

I hope that the infamous GlenTrool midges didn't get you.

never seen a single one. Even though it has been really mild this year, I think they have been killed off.

Can you tell me where this place is?

Head down past Girvan towards Newton Stewart and turn into Glentrool from there. That would probably be the quickest though slightly longer than going over the Carrick Hills.

Did u camp out there?

No just left the house after 6am to get there before 8am :)

those will be great with HDR, tell me it was shot in RAW !!!

I am not really a fan of HDR, too false for my liking. All images were shot in RAW (is there anyway else? ;) ;)

I'm still not convinced that the reflections are real!

Yes they are real, Its just a combination of checking the weather forecasts for the right type of weather and little wind. You also usually find some calm before the sun rises as well.

Today looked pretty good weather (and wind wise), tomorrow also looks as if it will be good.

I am off to Aberfoyle first thing tomorrow, to hopefully get there just after sunrise. These are perfect conditions for still water and mist ;)
