Its almost the ffestival time of year and i was wondering how many other OCUKers will be at global this year? The lineup is to be officially announced on the 28th of March (3 days after student loan ;) ) however there have been many big hints around the net that Moby and Tiesto will be headlining this year.

Now that Creamfields is a 2 day festival this year aswell, the organisers are going to have to pull a great lineup out of the bag to compete i feel.

How many others will be going? I went last year, had a wicked time despite the mud etc so the weekend can only be better this year in my eyes!

Rob.

Hi there, i went for the first time last year, had an amazing time. Ended up ordering an early bird ticket at christmas time, can't wait.

Also thinking of going to the gatecrasher festival thing, at the end of may, also looks pretty good.

Tom.

creamfields is pretty standard for me as it's the only night of the year I really get on it and know i will be in bed for the next week feeling weak like a kitten. Now it's a 2dayer Im not sure what im going to do.
also looking at gatecrasher summer soundsystem, wax:on live and maybe pukkelpop.

went 5 years in a row upto 2004, which was an AMAZING year for it (and perfect weather!)... but, alas, i've outgrown it now

After the things I witness at the last one I went to (2004) and the general reports from the subsequent years, I will again be giving the over-priced thing a wide berth.

Only UK dance festival worth it's ticket price these days is SW4 imo.

Anything else needs a trip over the channel, such as Dance Valley or Mysteryland, etc

I could hazard a guess but mind if i ask what?

A group of gangster chavs (DnB arena no doubt) attacking random people as they returned to their cars at the end of the night, asking what the time is and then punching them, or lobbing beer bottles at them, was sickening.

was loads of ****heads there in 06 too , the friday nights music made up for it though

im seriously considering summer soundsystem because the lineup is ridiculous . just wish it was a bit later in summer

I went to the first three. Even by the third one it was badly run. Expensive drinks ran out by 2am, it was muddy as hell, there were people pee'ing against all the surrounding fences (blokes and birds). I witnessed numerous people crapping by the fence. And, to top this off, by the end of the night people were actually sh@gging against the fences. UURRGHH!!!!!

Sacked it off.

If you want a value for money festival, try the Bulldog Bash. £50 for 4 days of raving, rocking, eating, drinking, watching bikes race up the strip, rocket bikes, top fuel cars. Cheap cold drinks, clean loos. It's a no-brainer.

was gonna go lastyear but sold my ticket in the end as the lineup seemed to be pants. a few friends went and said it was OK but nothing like 06' which made me feel better.

this year though, we're planning Sensation Black, maybe White...

canna wait :D

would love to go to sensation white, would be unreal. Also saw a festival called "fort Dance" in russia, a dance festival held in some WWII fort of the coast of St. Petersburg, looks absolutly amazing.

Hopefully will be returning again. It can only get better from last year.. due to the mass amounts of mud etc.

btw Creamfields this year have Kasabian headlining... which just cracked me up - woeful indie crap. If that's the direction Creamfields is heading then...

better than heading towards tanked up chavs fighting each other and ****e sound quality like previous years

i really cant see no point in global this year after seeing the SS lineup , theres single tents there that id pay the full price to go to

There have been rumours about Kanye West being at Global aswell, but that wouldnt work, saw this on quite a few of the forums where the organisers seem to float about.

Don't have the urge to go again unfortunately. Not after me and my friend were so royally screwed over by the "security" team last time. Apart from that incident I was disappointed by the prices of everything (yes I know there's a premium but having to spend £5 for a bread roll with a sausage in it makes baby Jesus cry), and the fact that in the Godskitchen tent they had to lower the volume because of the local council. Thankfully seeing Daft Punk balanced the negatives out though. :p

looks completly crap compared to the SS lineup for what i like :/

although admittedly its better dates
