While taking a break from my eternal search for a perfect new case, I went googling and discovered my OCuk case bought in 2002 was a Globalwin 802! I was guilty of buying the extreme edition:-
Front: 1x80mm YS-Tech
Side: 2x120mm YS-Tech
Rear: 1x80mm YS-Tech
Top: 2x120mm YS-Tech
Just for good measure, in case neighbours in the next street could not tell when I was gaming, there is also an 80mm YS-Tech fan connected to a SocketA Thermalright/take heatsink!
About the only downside to my 802 is that I no longer have the outer covers for the external 3.5" drives (ex-floppy and zip100) or the 5.25" external drives... But I could simply fill the gaps with drives and not connect them to the motheboard.
Anyone else still using this classic?
Would I be mad to forget about a new case for my new rig and simply replace some/all the YS-Tech fans with more sensible volume options (perhaps a mix of Ambers/Noctuas/Yate Loon etc... for a conclusive comparison of ultimate CFM/volume fans)?
Oh and then house the Barton rig in a new case (Zen/Dominator)?
