Hi all,

I'm using Wilko's primer and undercoat (white) as it's actually great stuff, it's fast-drying, 6 hours between coats, covers well etc however last time I tried to gloss I couldn't find anything decent.

It's for a banister/stairs, doors and frames. Ideally, I'd like it to be really hard-wearing and more importantly, that it stays white.

The gloss I've had in the past have always gone yellow and needed chemicals to clean the brushes, a pain in the backside.

Got to be easy to clean, 2 kids and a 3rd on the way, constantly getting marks on the stairs.

Any suggestions?

I have used Zinsser perma white on skirting and door frames, brilliant stuff and quick drying.

Its mould resistant and shouldn't go yellow.

*you can get it in matt white or satin white*

Dulux Trade High Gloss White, used with their undercoat provides a really durable finish and nice finish. Only issue is the smell when applying it. ☺
