For some reason Gmail just won't work with Firefox anymore. When I load my bookmark I just get a blank white page. It seems to work with opera but I have no idea what's wrong.

Have you installed a new firewall?

I got that problem when i installed a new firewall.

No but I installed AVS instead of Avast and briefly installed some software for my mates BT modem which is uninstalled now.

It can't be AVS because it was working fine before I went away.

for all gmail firefox users, this extention is a must

in preferences, change the options to..

this..

-it nicely tells you when you get new mail :) (icon in bottom right corner of firefox)

I just use this:

I used to use gmail notifier but I do like to know when I have mail when the browser is not open (like when watching a movie etc).

I used to use the extension for FF before but not anymore :)

the windows based one gets on my nerves, because if you're not connected to the net, it complains at startup, whereas if you weren't connected to the net, you wouldn't need to open firefox :)

Wow, the extension and the windows based one look quite interesting. It could be a full time replacement for outlook.

Id be scared of the security risks though, because i use the same password for a lot of things.

The windows one is created and provided by google themselves so if paranoia affects you and you don't like "user created" ff extensions where you enter your pass then just let google handle it via their tool :p

P.S. Bledd, it's just one click man!

It's not that, its just whenever i look for/at 'dodgy' stuff, I always clear run cCleaner which clears everything.

I don't actually know if that does anything, it's just i don't want something to steal my passwords and the password and things would be saved into firefox and when i am looking at dodgy stuff i wouldn't want a virus or something to steal the password.

One of those links worked but still when I use gmail notifier (windows based) it takes me to a blank page.

Strange this happened though.

Lol, I already do have different browsers for different 'content'. I use ff for main and Opera for questionable content, but i still feel vulnerable :s

I wasn't referring to porn ... believe it or not
