Gmail gone bonkers!

Its just not working on the apps! Crashing etc.

Worldwide issues apparently. I have had to go back to the basic desktop version. Anyone else having issues with gmail?

Other apps too are having issues.

I really don't like gmail but just tried it with an old account and works fine on ios safari.

Using the Gmail App on my iPhone and have just sent an email as a test no probs.

Seems to be ok now after 2 days of crashing.

This was a massive global android issue rather than something limited to Gmail. It was to do with the webview service - a background service many apps use - had a borked update. It was hitting everything that used it.

don't use the app but on the PC it's a knocking bet that when i go to gmail it'll trip up w/ "an unknown error" type thing. refresh and it's fine, no idea why it keeps doing it the first time though.

Haven't noticed any service issues or any bugs in my android one Gmail app.
