I've still not got it.

Out of curiosity would it be anything so simple as it propagating down through the alphabet?

Possible but unlikely, they may apply the updates on a database by database basis, or any number of other basis'. Have you checked Settings > Themes?

Are you definately using the 'new gmail'? I.e. is there an 'old gmail' link up the top?

Yep, I use the newest GMail offered to me, yes I've checked settings=>themes, it's just not enabled for me yet.

PS: Isn't the plural 'bases'?

I think he means 'basis' as a synonym for starting point, method etc

Aye I know, the plural of which is 'bases' (pronounced "base-eez").

Was on mine this morning.

I'm an R as well. Signed up in the initial beta stage, however.

Damn, I was signed up pretty early on in beta stage too, with the @gmail.com address.
