Gmail notifier no longer work in Firefox?

For the past 2 days the Notifier doesn't seem to be working at all, is it just me?

I've updated to the 1.5.0.1 Firefox, but the Extentions says it compatible yet it won't work, can't even log in through the little icon.

remove the extension manually and re-install? i've just done a clean install and it works here....

The problem I have with Gmail notifier is that it doesn't tell me when I have new emails :S
Bloody rubish if you ask me.

I always found Gmail Notifier a bit hit or miss, but Gmail Manager (https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=1320&application=firefox) hasn't given me any problems.

There's a new version of gmail notifier out just recently. You can update via the extensions panel. I imagine it stops working and requires an update each time Google changes something on their end.

You will need version 0.5.5 for FireFox 1.5.0.1 as the older version dont work
