Anyone still prefer Gmail to Inbox?

Maybe I'm just stuck in the past, but I still prefer Gmail to Google Inbox, both in terms of the web browser and Android apps.

Gmail seems faster, cleaner, easier to see unread messages, you can view more emails on the screen at once, and it's easier to compose, forward, and attach, in my opinion.

A specific problem with Inbox, for example, is that you can't paste images directly into an email, and by default it embeds an image when you attach it rather than actually just attaching it.

I'm probably doing something stupid there, or someone will come and tell me how to easily change it, but it's still a bit weird as a default behaviour.

All one seems to gain with Inbox is more pictures, of purchases and pictures that people have sent. That's fine, but it means you see fewer emails on the screen.

I also just can't get used to clicking again to collapse a group once selected, far preferring the way Gmail arranges things, with the three categories along the top.

If I'm missing something I would love to hear it. I'm trying to love Inbox as I've got it as my default email client on my Android devices. Is Inbox's main selling point that it helps you organise things better like tasks and travel?

Like with Microsoft new Clutter feature in Outlook, I'm not yet confident in an automated system defining what's important and what's not.

I forgot Inbox was a thing as I went straight back to gmail after using it, much clearer to see all my emails.

I don't get enough e-mail to make manually ordering etc a problem in my personal account, Gmail does remove tons of spam but I also keep on top of unsubscribing from things I no longer need, as well as using throw away account (mailinator etc) when possible.

Did try Inbox but just wasn't sure about the layout.

I'm purely using Inbox now. I like the way it treats emails as to dos which you check off when finished with (which archives it). I'm not so bothered about the grouping stuff, although it can be quite nice when it brings up tracking information automatically for me for orders :)

Also like how you can create tasks within your inbox, rather than sending yourself an email.

Plus snoozing is a must have for me now. Quite often I'll get an email that only needs dealing with in a few days, or I need to be reminded about it. If it just sits in my inbox then it can be easy to forget, but if it pops up again as a new email after snoozing then I can't miss it.
