Anyone still prefer Gmail to Inbox?
Maybe I'm just stuck in the past, but I still prefer Gmail to Google Inbox, both in terms of the web browser and Android apps.
Gmail seems faster, cleaner, easier to see unread messages, you can view more emails on the screen at once, and it's easier to compose, forward, and attach, in my opinion.
A specific problem with Inbox, for example, is that you can't paste images directly into an email, and by default it embeds an image when you attach it rather than actually just attaching it.
I'm probably doing something stupid there, or someone will come and tell me how to easily change it, but it's still a bit weird as a default behaviour.
All one seems to gain with Inbox is more pictures, of purchases and pictures that people have sent. That's fine, but it means you see fewer emails on the screen.
I also just can't get used to clicking again to collapse a group once selected, far preferring the way Gmail arranges things, with the three categories along the top.
If I'm missing something I would love to hear it. I'm trying to love Inbox as I've got it as my default email client on my Android devices. Is Inbox's main selling point that it helps you organise things better like tasks and travel?
