alright so im about to buy some of these for my civic, 60mm drop.

they are second hand and various people have told me they have been pleased with them but then i read in a thread on here that they aren't so good so i was wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

full set of shocks and springs, 60mm drop, used for approx one year, price at 100 pounds

I put (brand new) gamx all around on my VR6 because of the cheapness. Handles like a bag of ****. Underdamped far too much, and is just bouncy and not confidence inspiring. One shock leaked.

Seems to have bags of grip with the camber setting etc, but no handling. But on the plus side the kit may be better developed for your particular car. Fingers crossed for you!

P.S. I am *really* fussy about shocks so may be exagerarting a bit. But it was nieve of me to assume gmax would be comparable with the top makes.

i see.

yeah im not hoping for great things but as long as they are on par with the standard set up in turns of handling ill be happy, just want the lowness and hope for them to be a bit stiffer as mine bounces all over the place

I had some 30mm gmax springs on my first car. They were fine, ok they're not going to make the car handle like an elise, but they're pretty good for the price.

I suffered no problems as said by someone else in a previous post above, mine were second hand too.

They will be better than standard setup from a visual / performance perspective. Just not comparable with konis for example.

I have heard they are much better on lighter cars like yours, than my car with a heavy lump ovwer the front axle. So you should have a better experiance than me anyway.

But just letting you know how I got on with a band new set! Hope it works out. :)
