Presumably everyone's heard the single 'Crazy' by now, since it's been playing roughly everywhere for about the last month and has the whole yadda yadda ten bazillion downloads thing.

But I just got the album St. Elsewhere and it's fantastic! It's tinged with 70s soul, r'n'b, Aphex Twin-style electronic beats, truly innovative production, the luscious voice of Mr. Cee-Lo Green, and songs about schizophrenia and necrophilia. It's produced by Danger Mouse as well, him what did The Grey Album and Gorillaz' Demon Days.

I highly recommend this if you get the chance.

Got to agree with you.
I was worried he'd be a one hit wonder but figured I'd take a risk and try his album.
Really impressed with the quality of it.

I knew this would be good, just by looking at the people responsible for it.

Crazy is probably the only good song I've heard come out of the charts in years. It's a great tune.

That program makes me die a little inside each time I catch it while flicking through the music channels. It encapsulates just about everything that I find repulsive.

haha, dont lie - it's absolutely amazing!!! i love that episode! :D

i wonder if they'll do a DVD boxset!

I saw the video on TV at home last week and loved the look of the video. I didn't know who it was but I was enjoying the music so I suspended my channel hopping temporarily to find out who it was. When I found out it was Gnarls Barkley, I realised I'd read something about them on BBC News and how they had had a number one with a song sold only via downloads, which was a first.

Love the song, considering buying the single, maybe the album too if I like the sound of it.

Picked this up yesterday and i really like it. I still think Crazy is the best track on there, but the rest are good as well. Its different from most other albums released recently.

I got the album too, really like it although it's a bit short, some of the stuff really reminds me of another group although can't quite put my finger on it.

I thought this too, if anything it reminded me of some of the stuff Outkast have done.

Damn you! I was just about to post this same thread after i got in from my train journey and subsequent 14th listen of the album.

I hadn't even heard "Crazy" as i don't follow the charts...nor do i listen to the radio or have TV (shocking, but true) and i bought the album purely because it's producded by DJ Danger Mouse, and his Grey Album was on meh playlist for a long time!

Apparently that Cee-Lo guy used to be a rapper...

Best.change.of.direction.EVER.

Love it. :)
