Gnome now doesnt start

I have just updated Ubuntu to the latest 10.10 version. Problem is now when I start up the computer all I get is a commandline login request. Please help...

Type "startx" and see what happens?

Also, output of /etc/X11/Xorg.log might hlep.

Fixed it, don't know how... Started under the recovery option and tried resetting something about defaults I think.
