I have somehow managed to get rid of the red 'shut down' button from the right of the clock on the taskbar - how do I get it back?

I can make it appear on the part of the task bar where the Application buttons etc are, but not on the right of the system clock where it used to be.

Any ideas?

Does it work to right click on it, select move, then move it to where you want it to be?

No, because it won't move to the part of the task bar where the clock is :(

If you look at the clock side you'll see two faint dotted lines, I can't get it past those. I can remove items from that part of the task bar but not put them back which is annoying.

right click the clock > uncheck lock to panel.

That doesn't help with getting the shut down button into that part of the task bar though.

The only way I can do it is to remove everything from that part of the task bar, then the dotted line divider disappears and I am then able to place the icons back in place and lock them there.

I wish I knew how to get the battery icon back though because the one you add via the Add to panel sub-menu is not the same.
