Go 570 SLI or upgrade?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if its worth trying to get hold of a second 570 for sli... What performance increase would I see on an I7 system... Not sure of system specs off top of my head in games like Skyrim, War Thunder etc?

Or would I be better waiting to upgrade to a single card with say a budget of £150?

Do you like to run games with very high / ultra settings?

Probably not much help right now as my system is down with a failed psu but its a 27 inch Samsung s27b7 monitor and have that at its highest resolution....

Have noticed it struggles a bit on Skyrim and War Thunder at very high settings

I wouldn't sli a 570 nowadays as it'll hit the vram limit in any new games very quickly. Sell up and get a single recent gpu.

I'm expecting VRAM to become a massive issue with the Christmas releases this year.

Save a little more and get a 4gb 760, That ram won't be an issue for some time and you can look at getting a second at a later date,

However this would be an even better option and again consider crossfire later.

I went from a 5870 (similar to a 570) to a 780 - on an i7 920.

Massive difference, very big upgrade.

Would I spend so much again? - probably not. A 760 would have been plenty.

I'd never consider SLI/Xfire - too many issues.
