ok due a nice bonus in the next week, and was thinking of either getting another 570GTX or replacing the current 570, what are peoples view on this, the only game i play is BF3 and play it a lot, i have a 120htz screen and would like to get near to that in frames as possible.

only issue is my PSU is 650w which is properly gonna need replacing

Corsair 650D Case
Corsair TX 650w V2 PSU
Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Intel Z68
Intel 2600k i7 @ 4.4ghz
Corsair H60 CPU Cooler
Corsair XMS3 16GB DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz ( 4 x 4GB)
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB
MSI GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5
2 x 1TB Weston Digital
Benq XL2420T 24" TRUE 120Hz 3D Vision 2.0 Widescreen LED Monitor
Windows 7 Pro - 64 Bit

I had same dilema, thinking my psu would be ok... it needed replaced. And then came the thought of "well if i will be swapping the psu it would be a good time to get a new case"....

Wish i had just replaced the card and kept case / psu! Also sli/x-fire gives some issues for some users, so potentially less hassle as well.

this is the issue, why is there not an app that can scan your system and tell you what you use. i can pick up a second hand 570 quite cheap. but as others mentioned when you factor in buying a new PSU and a 570 you may as well sell the current 570 and get a 680

+1 to selling.

I made the exact same move when the gtx 680s were released and don't regret it. I did consider going sli, but I knew the VRAM would be too much of a limitation in BF3 and similarly intensive future titles.

Youd be pushing the psu pretty close to it's limits with an oc'd cpu and gtx 570's in sli. Im running a slightly more power hungry cpu and a pair of oc'd gtx 470's. Power draw at the wall is 630w ono in game, corsair hx 850w psu. I can remember someone on here with a 2500k and gtx 470's reporting a power draw of 600w. Im actually thinking of ditching the 470's and going to a single 680. Though ill wait to the prices drop to a more sensible level.

yeah well will see what i can get for a 570 and then work out if its worth it... damn should have purchased a higher psu @ the start
