Hey,

I've just spotted a 205 XS on ebay for £46 - it has no tax or MOT, and woukd need some work doing, however the bodywork is good on it.

Is it worth buying a knackered older 205, or save a bit more and buy a decent one?

Thanks :)

No, it's a shed. 205's are all rusty bangers of doom now.

Erm...do you actually know anything about 205's? hardly any of them rust..only a few.

I thought 205's were rusty bangers of doom?

I'd love a GTi, but the insurance isn't really that reasonable :(

well there's just over 2 hours left on the auction, and its still at £46.

there's 9 bids, i'm thinking that people are watching it, and waiting for it to get to the final few minutes...

I'm very tempted to buy it, just for a project!

edit: seeing as its got no tax or MOT, how would I go about getting it home? tow it with a solid bar i suppose?

That's a Topaz blue, now that one has minging colour coded bumpers but other than that it looks relatively sound. Even if the engine is shafted that's worth getting just because it's a Topaz - it's one of the very rarest 205 GTI colours - Paintguy from here and 205drivers has got a lovely Topaz.

its got no tax and MOT until next month..

cheers for the info Lopez, i'll have a chat to you later on MSN if you're about?
